Ryan will be competing in the preliminary round of the annual Ekstrand Competition for graduate students at the University of Colorado, performing the Fantasia for Soprano Saxophone and Orchestra by Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Black and Blue by Barry Cockcroft. The competition will be held in Grusin Music Hall at the Imig Music Building on the campus of University of Colorado.
